Our Pet Care Policies
MEET & GREET

A FREE 30-minute Meet & Greet Consultation is required for all new clients at least 7 days prior to reservations. 

We must meet with you and your pet(s) and determine your needs before we make a commitment to providing care for your pet(s). 

This initial consultation enables you to meet the sitter to get acquainted with you and your pets, as well as answer any questions you may have about the services provided.


FORMS REQUIRED

It is required that all clients fill out and sign the Pet Sitting Service Agreement containing the following information:

Pet Information
Veterinary Authorization
Service Fee Agreement
Key Authorization
Waiver & Release

These forms must be filled out, signed and in our possession at the time of booking along with the full payment prior to the start of service.


PAYMENT POLICIES

Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your dates.

Bookings are not confirmed until payment has been received in full.

This helps secure your spot on our schedule and ensures we can provide the best care for your pets. While this payment is non-refundable, we understand that plans can change. 

If you need to cancel, and you provide at least 7 days' notice, your payment can be credited toward a future booking within 6 months.


CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

7+ days’ notice: Payment will be credited toward a future booking within 6 months.

Less than 7 days’ notice: No refunds or credits.

There are no refunds for early returns or late departures.

These policies exist to ensure fairness and quality of care. Once your booking is confirmed, we reserve your requested dates exclusively for you and often turn away other clients. To provide each pet with the dedicated attention they deserve, we require at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellations.


HOLIDAY & SPECIAL DATE RESERVATIONS 

Please book early for peak times (Spring Break, Summer, Holidays) as spots fill quickly.

Holiday Surcharge: $10/day applies on major holidays (Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Year’s, etc.).

Custom Surcharge – Arlette Day 🎉: A $10/day surcharge applies on my birthday to allow me to balance celebrating while still caring for your pets.


KEY POLICY

A working key must be provided at the Meet & Greet for all services requiring home access (Extended Drop-In Visits, Half/Day/Full-Day Care, Overnight Care, House Sitting).

A $15 round-trip fee applies if keys need to be picked up or dropped off outside of the Meet & Greet, or if clients choose not to keep a key in our lock box for future services or emergencies.

Garage door openers cannot be used as the main entry method.

Leaving a spare key hidden on your property is at your own risk and not recommended.


EMERGENCY POLICY

In the event of an emergency, we shall contact the client at the numbers provided to confirm the client's choice of action. If the client cannot be reached timeously, the sitter is authorized to:

Transport the pet(s) to the listed veterinarian.
Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian.
Transport the pet(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.

Client agrees to authorize the sitter to handle any emergencies that may arise.
All fees charged by the treating veterinary facility is the sole responsibility of the pet owner/client.


LIABILITY AND SAFETY 

We provide daily updates with photos/videos when possible (if requested), but they’re not guaranteed due to a busy schedule.

We are not responsible for damage to your home (e.g., leaks, electrical issues, weather) beyond our control. Please leave a trusted contact for emergencies. 

We are not liable for any incidents involving pets with unsupervised outdoor access.
Clients are liable for any injury their pet causes to the sitter or others.

We are not responsible for pet transport risks or vet bills unless negligence is proven.
Aggressive pets may be refused or placed in alternate care if safety is a concern.

Incomplete or false client/pet info may result in immediate contract termination with no refunds or credits.
